The education of children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) has long been a minor issue in the context of major socio-educational issues. The emergence of Inclusive Education is based on the principle of equal educational and social opportunities, and is conceptualised as an area where the social, educational and cultural diversity of each individual must be recognised and taken into account in learning processes and the concomitant adoption of educational and rehabilitation methodologies adapted to individual needs. Based on this framework, this specialised Master’s course is based on a reflective and critical training model, predominantly oriented towards research and intervention in emerging situations in professional practice in the area of Special Education, with a particular focus on SEN resulting from limitations in cognitive and motor functions. The course offers a comprehensive overview of the major contemporary debates in special and inclusive education, providing a critical analysis of current frameworks, policies, guidelines and dominant practices in national and international contexts.<\/p>\n
The course runs over 4 semesters, corresponding to 30 semester credits, for a total of 120 ECTS. It operates on an after-work basis, on Fridays (from 6 p.m.) and Saturdays.<\/p>\n

– Promote knowledge of observation and assessment processes in cognitive and motor problems;
– Develop skills to identify the specific needs of students and families at different stages of the life cycle;
– Consolidate knowledge about the planning and evaluation of educational programmes and activities adapted to the needs of students, families and institutions;
– To deepen knowledge of specialised psychopedagogical intervention in various areas of action (school, family and community);
-To promote the development of collaboration with families and other professionals in the context of intervention;
– To develop the ability to identify emerging problems in professional practice for the design and development of research projects.<\/p>\n
