The Performing Arts course aims to train professionals in the field of performing arts and meet the current demands of graduates as agents of cultural and artistic development in various contexts with different audiences. In this sense, the course provides the acquisition of interpersonal, systemic and instrumental skills, capable of ensuring appropriate working tools to achieve the following objectives:
– Mastering specific scientific and technical knowledge in the field of performing arts;
– Acquiring competence in the procedures and methodologies for creating and implementing projects geared towards cultural and social interests, through creative and playful engagement in order to promote cultural literacy in a professional context;
– Develop activities capable of energising and stimulating individuals and groups, establishing fruitful relationships between them that foster personal and collective development;
– Provide participatory and reflective training that is flexible to innovation and constantly updated, stimulating conscious and active involvement adapted to a demanding and constantly evolving professional practice;
– Acquire technical, artistic and cultural skills for the development of interactive activities in the areas of recreation, art, culture and social interaction.
Career Opportunities
The course aims to train professionals whose diverse skills, versatility and flexibility of professional profile are suited to both the private sector and to roles in local authorities, foundations, museums, libraries, artistic and cultural production companies, leisure organisations, educational services, tourism companies, private social solidarity institutions, adult education and training centres, cultural and recreational associations, and local and community development associations. Among others, the activities to be performed by these professionals may include:
– Performer;
– Organiser and manager of artistic and cultural events;
– Artistic programmer;
– Cultural events producer;
– Artistic director, commissioner, curator of artistic events;
– Performing arts producer;
– Artistic animator and/or creator in the performing arts.
