Art Direction for Audiovisual Production

The postgraduate course in Art Direction for Audiovisual Production has as general aim the promotion of an interdisciplinary training that combines a rigorous theoretical component with an empirical specialization in the framing areas.
A new training format is offered concerning the development of the audiovisual creative process, focusing on the areas of art direction and aiming at the aesthetic concept of projects and products.
Throughout the training period, students are stimulated towards artistic and technological experimentation, with the final goal of acquiring conceptual and artistically creative solid skills to be expressed in the conception of an audiovisual work/product.
The priority is to consolidate cinematographic skills, from the conception to the final production of an audiovisual work, focusing on the areas of screenwriting, scenography, aesthetics, actor direction and interpretation.

Career opportunities
The objectives of this postgraduate course are the transmission of knowledge that enables the student to perform the following functions:
- Development and writing of audiovisual projects;
- Development of scenographic projects, as well as costume design and characterization in audiovisual contexts;
- Art direction;
- Actor direction, casting and coaching;
- Direction and assistance direction of audiovisual projects;
- Production, executive production and assistance production of audiovisual projects;
- Video and audio reception, edition and post-production
